Wharton students take on Blackboard

Two Wharton students, Joseph Cohen and Dan Getelman, have developed a simple version of a course-management software named CourseKit, challenging Blackboard which the leader in the field. Cohen and Getelman said that Blackboard is “is overloaded with features and dreadfully designed, making simple tasks difficult.” They are handing out up to $200 per course to Penn students to post course information and also to recruit other students. So far, about 600 people have signed up for a Coursekit account.
